Family living tucked away on peaceful Woodrush Place.

Positioned within a peaceful cul-de-sac on the ever-popular St Mary’s Island, this four-bedroom detached family home offers approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of well-arranged living space along with driveway parking and a private rear garden. The property is ideally located within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, cinema and amenities at the Quays, as well as riverside walks and local transport links.

The home opens into a welcoming entrance hallway, with a downstairs WC immediately to the left and the staircase rising to the first floor.

To the right of the entrance hall is the kitchen and dining area, providing a practical and sociable space for day-to-day family life. The kitchen is fitted with modern units and benefits from a separate utility room, which also provides access to the garden.

The former garage has been converted to create additional usable space, currently arranged with fitted cupboards and a separate storage area used as a workshop. The property also benefits from numerous storage cupboards throughout, offering valuable practicality that many homes often lack.

Upstairs, the first floor comprises four bedrooms, including a principal bedroom with its own ensuite wet room.

The remaining bedrooms are well-proportioned and are served by a family bathroom featuring both a bath and shower, making the layout well suited to families.

The rear garden has been designed for low maintenance and outdoor entertaining, featuring a large paved patio area along with a raised decking section, providing plenty of space for seating, dining, and social gatherings during warmer months. The layout offers a practical and private outdoor area that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

To the front of the property there is driveway parking along with a small front garden area.

St Mary’s Island remains one of the most desirable residential areas within Medway, offering a unique community environment alongside riverside walks, local cafés, restaurants, shops and leisure facilities. About Strood

Medway is home to the historic Chatham Dockyard and Rochester Castle. It has several Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) such as Lodge Hill and the Medway estuary and marshes, and is only a short 38-minute train journey to central London, for those that want the city buzz. The Rochester and Medway area is rich in seafaring history, and Rochester itself was a favourite of Charles Dickens, who based many of his novels in the area.

The town’s cobbled streets, historic buildings and ancient cathedral are certainly evocative of another time, but cool boutiques and galleries are also dotted around the town. With a population above 270,000, Medway is well served with 97 schools which cater to the family-friendly area.

There is also a number of marinas, yacht clubs and sailing clubs to keep the community entertained. The Medway towns are Rochester, Gillingham, Chatham, Strood and Rainham. The A2 runs through the towns along with the site of the old Dover to London Roman road. Via the M2 you can be at the coast in no time.
